Hi, Welcome To My Blog

I love various different types of crafts and have had a dabble at most over the years, some with greater success than others. I believe that apart from loving and giving, being creative is the next most important thing to do. There is something about being creative that taps into something deep within us that makes us feel good with the world. But then we were made in the image of God, God The Creator... so I guess being creative will be second nature to us if we allow. The problem is that many people will not have a go because they make the mistake of measuring themselves against others... and that is just not a good thing to do. I create because I like to create, not because I have to impress anyone else or be better than anyone else. I created this blog with a lot of help from my son-in-law, as a personal scrap book that I am happy to share with others if they wish to take a look.... Enjoy <><

Merry Monday set the challenge of making a Christmas card using black, white, gray and silver. So I used white textured card for my base, layered it with bright sparkly silver (which doesn't look so sparkly in this photo), a layer of dark gray spotted paper, then a black card before mounting the oval white card with the silver die cut of the holy family and a large bright sparkly star.  I finished this off with some diamante (silver) beads for the other lesser stars. As usual the photo taken on my phone does not do this card justice as the real thing looks so much more vibrant.

    1. Thank you Betty, you are always so generous with your comments. I showed a friend all the cards I have made for MM and this card was her second favourite and I would agree but the photo is rubbish. I could not get the sparkly silver card to photograph properly. If you have any suggestions how to go about it remembering I only have the iPad and iPhone, it would be lovely to hear.
